PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light and thin sheet for a battery case and excellent in performances such as strength, endurance, moisture and gas barrier properties and heat-adhesion with an electrode terminal, and also excellent in safety because the sheet does not include a metal foil layer, and the electrode terminal is not short-circuited with a case even if the terminal is bent. SOLUTION: The sheet for the battery case 30, 40 is formed by sequentially laminating from the outside, for example, a first substrate film layer 1, a second substrate film layer 2 and a heat-adhesive resin layer 4. As the first and second substrate film layers 1, 2, a biaxially stretched polyethylene terephthalate film or nylon or polypropylene film covered with either of a thin film layer of silicon oxide or aluminum oxide and a coating film layer of polyvinylidene chloride is used. As the heat-adhesive resin layer 4, only an acid-modified polyolefin resin layer 6 or a laminated body consisting of a polyolefin resin layer 5 and the acid-modified polyolefin resin layer 6 is used.
