PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical light switch device in which a plurality of ferrules of an input/output port are mutually and arbitrarily combined, accurately connected, and a commercially available connector is also usable. SOLUTION: In a light switch device in which an input side port substrate and an output side port substrate are facing to each other, a plurality of input ferrules on the input side port are arranged in the vertical direction, respective input ferrules are independently movable in the horizontal direction, a plurality of output ferrules serving as the output side port are arranged in the horizontal direction, respective output ferrules are independently moved in the vertical direction, an adaptor which moves back and forth with respect to an opposite ferrule for being connected and disconnected with the opposite ferrule is fitted to the ferrule on one port, and a freely detachable screwed connector and an adaptor which guides the end of the ferrule are fitted to the ferrule of an optical fiber which serves as the other port, the combination of respective input/output ferrules is freely selected. Thus, not only even commercially available connectors and adaptors are solely usable but also respective ferrules are accurately connected, the loss of light is suppressed to the minimum, the number of the adaptors is sufficient by the number equal to the number of optical fibers, the opening of the adaptors is not open because the adaptors are always used in a connected state, and it is not necessary to worry about dustproof.
