PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of preventing noise generation, a short lifetime, coming-off of a belt by making variation of a gap due to assembly of a ball bearing small and making an axial gap and an angular gap small. SOLUTION: In this water pump, the ball bearing 5 is put between a cylinder part 2a of an inner fixed member 2 formed by pressing steel plate and a cylindrical pulley part 3c of an outer rotating member formed by pressing steel plate, an outer ring 5b of the ball bearing 5 is fitted in an inner circumference of the pulley part 3c of the rotating member 3 by interference fit and an inner ring 5a of the ball bearing 5 is fitted on an outer circumference of the cylinder part 2a of the fixed member 2 by loose fit. A coming-off preventing projection 17 for the inner ring 5a of the ball bearing 5 from coming off is provided on a tip part of the cylinder part 2a of the fixed member 2. A jig insertion hole 12 enabling to insert a jig for machining the coming-off preventing projection is formed on a flange part 3b provided on a cylinder part 3a of the rotating member 3.
