PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the deep drawability, secondary workability and corrosion resistance of a boron-containing high purity ferritic stainless steel for high working by preventing the precipitation of borides and optimizing production conditions in such a manner that boron is segregated on the grain boundaries to strengthen the grain boundaries. SOLUTION: The stainless steel sheet has a composition containing, by mass, 0.0005 to 0.005% C, 0.05 to 0.50% Si, 0.05 to 0.20% Mn, 11.0 to 19.0% Cr, 0.4 to 2.0% Mo, 0.02 to 0.60% Cu, 0.002 to 0.150% Al, 0.10 to 0.30% Ti, 0.0020 to 0.0120% N, Ti/(C+N)≥10, 0.0005 to 0.0015% B and≥0.0004% solid solution B, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities. At the time when electrolytic etching with oxalic acid prescribed in JIS G0571 is performed, etch pits caused by borides are not produced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
