MANUFACTURING METHOD OF VINYL ESTER COPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a vinyl ester copolymer while precisely controlling its molecular weight and molecular weight distribution related with its primary structure. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the vinyl ester copolymer comprises copolymerizing a vinyl ester monomer (D) with an olefin in the presence of a controlled radical polymerization initiator system comprising a transition metal complex (A) and an organic halogen compound (B). Particularly, the polymerization initiator system comprising the transition metal complex (A) and the organic halogen compound (B) preferably contains further at least one compound (C) selected from among Lewis acids and basic compounds.
