PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear structure of an automobile capable of displacing a spare tire downward instantaneously in case of being rear-ended even in an automobile with a small rear space. SOLUTION: A collision detecting sensor 1 detecting a rear-end collision just before or in an early stage of the collision is provided in the rear part of the car body. The spare tire 2 is arranged below the floor panel 5 in the rear part. A guide plate 6 capable of moving the spare tire 2 downward, an inflator 7, and a wire are provided in the floor panel 5. The inflator 7 and the collision detecting sensor 1 are connected to a control unit 10 operating a displacing means prior to the forward displacement of the spare tire 2 due to the collision based on a collision detection by the sensor 1.
