PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling open and close of an electronic valve and method therefor is provided to improve electronic energy efficiency and remove a fire risk. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling open and close of an electronic valve comprises a rated voltage generating part(60) generating a rated voltage, initial operation voltage, on opening of the valve and supplying the voltage to a coil of the valve, a pulse generating part(70) generating a control signal of pulse width modulation when maintaining the opening state of the valve, a switching unit(80) operated according to the control signal of pulse width modulation outputted from the pulse generation part to convert a direct current outputted from the rated voltage generating part into a pulse and to supply the pulse to the valve coil, and a control part(90) supplying the rated voltage to the coil in initial operation of the valve, controlling the pulse generating part in the maintenance of the valve opening to supply the pulse through the switching unit.
