TRANSMISSION PERFORMANCE SIMULATION PROGRAM, TRANSMISSION PERFORMANCE SIMULATION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH THE PROGRAM RECORDED THEREON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission performance simulation program for automatically evaluating the performance of an ISDN and an xDSL.

SOLUTION: A characteristic as to a transmission system to be evaluated, a characteristic as to a transmission system acting like a crosstalk source, a characteristic of line attenuation, a crosstalk characteristic, and a characteristic as to background noise are first inputted to this simulation tool, which executes calculation. This tool calculates a relation between a length of a transmission line and an SNR (signal power to noise power ratio) or (a transmission speed) of a received signal by taking into account the effect of crosstalk or the like. Further, fitting processing is applied to a prescribed module and a prescribed parameter in the simulation tool so as to bring a calculated value closer to an actually measured value thereby adapting a theoretical value obtained from the simulation to the actually measured value.
