<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote correct closing bid price and prevent traffic concentration while suppressing sniping but leaving some enjoyment of bidding competition and sniping. <P>SOLUTION: A bid is accepted via a computer network (Step 21), and when a closing bid price at each time of bid acceptance is decided on the basis of the bid price of the accepted bid, a closing bid price decided at the acceptance of a bid priced over the previous highest bid price is a higher closing bid price as the bid acceptance is closer to an auction end (Step 27).
