<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for mounting a pull handle, by which the pull handle can be firmly fixed to a door of a vehicle and the mounting work can be efficiently carried out. <P>SOLUTION: According to the structure for mounting the pull handle, the side wall 13 and the bottom 14 of the pull handle 10 are inserted into a receiving aperture 3b formed on an upper surface portion 3a of an arm rest 3, and a flange 11 formed on the upper end portion of the pull handle 10 is engaged with the upper surface portion 3a. A holding surface 5a is formed on a holding bracket 5 elongated from a door panel 4 of a car door 1 which faces to the side wall 13. A guide portion 16 projects from the side wall 13. A holding/receiving surface 17a is provided in a holding hole 17 formed by the side wall 13 and the guide portion 16. The holding surface 5a faces to the holding/receiving surface 17a in the closing direction of the car door 1. The holding bracket 5 is inserted into the holding hole 17.
