<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst for partial oxidation which has catalytic activity undegradable even at a high temperature, suppresses the deposition of carbon, and is excellent in resistance to poisoning, highly active, and durable for a long term; a production method for the catalyst; and a method for using the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for hydrocarbon partial oxidation is composed of a monolith carrier and a catalyst component carried thereon.
