FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: installation consists of the following component parts: a frame equipped with a guide table and drawing rollers; a drive; a fixed blade and a cutter rotor with insert-type working blades. There is an undulated surface all along the fixed blade rear plane that expands well onto the blade front plane and is shaped to match the fibre configuration preset. The fixed blade front and back edges are interconnected with a vertically positioned strip whose width exceeds the undulation profile wave height with the rotor being assembled of cutters with the working blades skewed either right-hand or left-hand relative to the rotor generatrix and consequently arranged alternately, the angular displacement being no more than 0.4...0.3 5 of the blades circular pitch relative to each other. ^ EFFECT: enhanced output combined with improved fibre quality. ^ 7 dwg
