FIELD: chemistry, pharmaceutics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining compound of 4-nitroimidazole, represented by general formula (1): , where X represents chlorine atom or bromine atom, including iodinating of 4-niotroimidazole compound represented by general formula (2): , where each of X1 and X2 represents chlorine atom or bromine atom, with further reduction of obtained compound of 5-iodine-4-nitroimidazole, represented by general formula (3): , where X has value determined above.
