PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller capable of securely receiving signal light from a remote controller body and a toilet apparatus. SOLUTION: A light receiving window 7 is installed near a crossing edge part between the lower front face 3a and the right lower face 3b of a tank cover 3. A light receiving device 6 and a motor 8 changing the indicating direction of the light receiving device 6 are installed on the rear side of the light receiving window. When a human body detection sensor 9 detects a human body, the motor reciprocatingly rotates with the range of approx. 90°.
