PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display panel having a good luminous efficiency by inputting power efficiently to a discharge gas. SOLUTION: As a structure of the plasma display panel 21, the front plate 22 and the rear plate 23 are arranged opposed to each other interposing a partition wall 33 including a partition wall 33b arranged so as to overlap with a scanning electrode 25 and a sustaining electrode 26 being a display electrode through at least a dielectric layer 28, and a discharge cell 36 divided by the partition wall 33 is provided. By this arrangement, a uniform potential distribution is formed in the discharge space 35 of the discharge cell 36, and efficient power input to the discharge gas can be made, and a plasma display panel having the good luminous efficiency can be realized.
