PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator comprising an automatic ice machine capable of washing an ice tray with a simple constitution without accompanying a large-scale mechanism and piping work, and hygienically making the ice by rinsing the tray in water after the washing. SOLUTION: This refrigerator has a water supply device for supplying the water from a water supply tank 9 mounted in a refrigerating space 2 to the ice tray 7a mounted in an ice making space 5, an ice making device 7 for automatically separating and storing the ice when the ice making in the ice tray which receives the water is completed, and a washing device for supplying the washing water stored in a tank 18 mounted in the refrigerating space to the ice tray. The ice making operation is interrupted by arbitrary operation, the specific amount of the washing water is supplied to the ice tray, then the washing water is drained away by the ice separating operation, the rinsing operation is performed by supplying the water from the water supply tank, and then the device is transferred from the ordinary water supply operation to the ice making operation.
