PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication surface treatment method for metal capable of improving load resistance and reducing a coefficient of friction for a long period of time in order to obtain a metallic surface which does not impair the lifetime of sliding parts or rolling parts etc., constituting mechanical elements in spite of a low cost and a lubricative metallic member having such good lubrication surface. SOLUTION: The lubrication surface treatment method comprises a first process of subjecting the surface of the metal 2 to film formation treatment accompanied by chemical etching, a second process of performing the treatment to chemically remove the film formed on the surface of the metal 2 by the first process and a third process of forming a lubrication layer 4 on the surface of the exposed metal 2, and the lubricative metallic member having the lubrication surface obtained by the method is provided.
