PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional material which increases the number of negative ions in the surrounding air, radiates far-infrared rays, exhibits mildew-resistant, deodorizing, and antimicrobial properties, and decreases the amount of volatile organic compounds diffused. SOLUTION: The functional material contains at least one kind of mineral or rock selected from among granite, feldspar, mica, and zeolite as the main component and small amounts of dolomite and lithium carbonate.
