PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can make a thermal head compact while the yield of the thermal head is maintained high, and to provide its manufacturing method and a thermal printer. SOLUTION: In the thermal head with heating elements 3 on a glaze layer 2 set on a substrate 1, and connection pads 5 electrically connected to the heating elements 3, the connection pads 5 are divided on a planar basis to a plurality of regions by forming slits 5a at the connection pads 5.
