The mechanism includes a feed claw (20) and reciprocating vertical feed mechanism (30a), coupled to a drive shaft (50), to advance the fabric. A horizontal feed mechanism (30b) moving the feed claw is also coupled to this shaft. The feed transmission (30) cooperates with the vertical and horizontal mechanisms. A variation mechanism (23) acts on the horizontal mechanism to change delivery of the fabric through the feed claw. This (23) has its own drive (28). Below the sewing machine bed (2) a lubricant chamber (4) is provided to lubricate the mechanisms in a sealed internal section. A linkage mechanism (25) fixes the drive (28) on an outer side of the lubricant chamber (4) and a lower part of the machine bed, and couples the drive (28) to the feed variation mechanism (23). Overflow novelty if any. A joint of the linkage mechanism (25) is coupled via an eccentric peg. Mechanical resistance can be applied to the horizontal advance mechanism or to the feed variation mechanism in the lubrication chamber, in order to suppress feed variation.
