<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical-electrical composite connector etc., which can suppress the deterioration of a signal by the dust on a ferrule splicing end face and which can be utilized by a user with ease. <P>SOLUTION: The optical-electrical composite connector 100 is composed of an optical-electrical composite plug 10 and an optical-electrical composite plug socket 20. The plug 10 or the socket 20 converts the light signal from an optical fiber to an electric signal and transmits the signal through a power source splicing fitting 12 and a power source splicing fitting carrier 22 to the opposing optical-electrical composite socket 20 or optical-electrical composite plug 10. The electric signal is converted to the light signal and the light signal is transmitted to the optical fiber in the opposite sockets 20 or plugs 10. As a result, the optical fiber is prevented from being exposed outside and therefore the deterioration of the signal by the dust on the ferrule splicing end face like heretofore can be suppressed. In addition, there is no need for paying attention to handling of the optical fiber and the general user is able to utilize the connector etc., with ease. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
