PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently, effectively and automatically extract a parallel translation of a unique expression from a parallel translation text. SOLUTION: A unique expression extraction part 10 extracts unique expressions by languages with the parallel translation text as input, and outputs a unique expression-extracted text of each language. A parallel translation candidate formation means forms parallel translation candidates from the unique expression-extracted text of each language based on a parallel translation candidate forming condition. A cooccurrence frequency calculation means 22 calculates the cooccurrence frequency in the parallel translation text for all combinations of the parallel translation candidates, and outputs them as a parallel translation candidate list. A translation probability calculation part 32 calculates the translation probability of the parallel translation candidates based on a word translation probability, and a translation probability scoring means 34 scores a translation probability based on the cooccurrence frequency of the parallel translation candidates and the number of constituting words. A parallel translation candidate narrowing means 35 sorts the candidates based on the scored translation probability, and finally outputs a parallel translation unique expression.
