PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection mechanism with click which is advantageous in realizing miniaturization and simplification, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: When a user operates rotating an annular operating part 3006 of an operating member 30, a rotating plate 32 rotates and a switch is switched over. Since a steel ball 3402 energized by a coil spring 3404 is engaged with an engaging recess 3010, it gives a click feeling to the user, and by a prescribed holding force, the rotation position of the operating member 30 is held. Since a bearing part 1212, a bearing hole 1212A, a long groove 1214, the steel ball 3402, and the coil spring 3404 are arranged inside in the radial direction of the annular operating part 3006, the selection mechanism with the click 28 can be arranged without securing a space inside the case 12, which gives an advantage in realizing small sizing of the selection mechanism with the click 28 and the electronic equipment.
