PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna having a new shape that enables the antenna to be miniaturized and realizes bandwidth widening. SOLUTION: The antenna comprises a ground pattern 2, and a planar element 1 that is fed and equipped with a cut-out portion 5 provided from the farthest edge portion formed from the feed position 1a toward the ground pattern side 2, and the ground pattern 2 and the planar element 1 are juxtaposed with each other. The cut-out portion 5 enables the antenna to be miniaturized and enables current paths for obtaining radiation in a low-frequency range to be secured. Since the ground pattern 2 and the planar element 1 are juxtaposed with each other, the mount volume of the antenna can be reduced, and the antenna characteristic, particularly the impedance characteristic, can be easily controlled, and the bandwidth can be widened.
