PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily evaluating and selecting a constituent member for an electrophoresis display suppressing adhesion of charged electrophoretic particles to surfaces of an electrode and an inner wall in a pseudo environment. SOLUTION: Charged electrophoretic particles are stuck to the head part of a cantilever of an atomic force microscope, the force curve between the constituent member of the electrophoresis display device and the charged electrophoretic particles is measured using the cantilever in a dispersion medium, the extent to which the interaction acts and the magnitude of the interaction are calculated from the measured force curve, and the optimum combination of the constituents of the constituent member, the charged electrophoretic particles, the dispersion medium and the like are determined.
