MILD CATHARTIC AGENT FOR CONSTIPATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mild cathartic agent for constipation that can rapidly relieve constipation including the considerably serious cases. SOLUTION: This mild cathartic agent for constipation comprises a mild cathartic agent containing a polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of about 7,300-9,300 and electrolytes and further contains a water-soluble high-molecule material and electrolytes wherein the cations constituting the electrolytes are sodium ion of 10-100 mEq/L, potassium ion of 1-20mEq/L and magnesium ion of 20-400 mEq/L.
