PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration generated from a mechanical seal from being transmitted and to prevent abnormal noise from being generated in a water pump. SOLUTION: The water pump 10 is provided with a shaft part 25 with a hollow part 25a formed inside integrally rotating with a pulley 20, an impeller 30 integrally rotating with the shaft part 25, a body 12 having substantially cylindrical support parts 12a, 12b in which the shaft part 25 is inserted, a bearing 14 disposed between an outer periphery of the support parts 12a, 12b and an inner periphery of the pulley 20 to rotatably support the pulley 20, and the mechanical seal 50 sealing one end side of a cylindrical space 27 formed between an outer peripheral surface of the shaft part 25 and an inner peripheral surface of the support part 12a, 12b.
