PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail device of a construction machine, which is mounted outside a passage provided in a vehicle body of the construction machine, which has high strength, which requires only a small number of components and a small number of man-hours for working and assembly, and which can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: This handrail device is equipped with: a thin plate 7 which is erected along an outside part of the passage 6; a bent part 7b which is provided at the upper end of the thin plate 7 by being formed in such a manner as to be curved to the side of the vehicle body; a plurality of notches 7c which are provided in the bent part 7b; a plurality of pieces of square pipe steel 8, which are erected on the car-body side of the thin plate 7 of the passage 6 and whose intermediate or upper parts are fitted and welded into the notches 7c; and a coupling pipe 9 which is fixed to an upper end of the pipe 8.
