PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat member consisting of a mat plate and a connection seal capable of being easily and firmly connected without bonding the plate to a floor and being easily disconnected when necessary, without forming a gap between adjacent mat plates when used, and therefore without a possibility of catching a foreign matter or disconnection. SOLUTION: The mat member consists of the mat plate 3, one or both sides of which is covered with a male or female piece of a hook and loop fastener, and the connection seal 4 with a male or female piece of the hook and loop fastener mounted on one or both sides, opposite to the male or female piece of the hook and loop fastener of the mat plate 3. A plurality of the mat plates 3 are arranged adjacently, and the connection seals 4 are stuck to the connection part of the adjacent mat plates to connect the mat plates 3.
