PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker compensating for insufficient heating of rice and water in a pot from above while preventing drying of the cooked rice in a pot, which considerably improves the taste of the cooked rice by generating steam with fine precision and achieves a reduced size. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a rice cooker body, the pot, a pot heating means for heating the pot, a cover for covering the opening of the pot, a steam generating means for generating the steam, a steam heating means for heating the steam generated by the steam generating means, and a detachable water feed tank for storing water supplied to the steam generating means.
