PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor integrated with a monitor for an electronic endoscope which can be ready to use by easy setting without trouble when it is used in a sickroom, the outside facility or the like. SOLUTION: The processor is constituted with a video processor 20 which is equipped with a liquid crystal monitor 30 which is for indication of an image formed by an output image signal from a processing circuit 24 and installed to slide freely between a position of operation and a position of storage, and with a switching means 26 which changes over between on/off states of a power source circuit 25 associated with the sliding condition of the liquid crystal monitor 30, wherein the power source circuit 25 is always off state when the liquid crystal monitor 30 is in the position of storage and the power source circuit 25 is always on state when the liquid crystal monitor 30 is in the position of operation.
