PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade adjusting mechanism of a lawn mower meeting any kind of green by a simple operation without changing the ledger plate. SOLUTION: The cutting blade adjusting mechanism of a mower 1 to cut the lawn by the sliding action of a reel blade 9 formed on a mowing blade shaft 8 rotating by the power of an engine 4 and a ledger plate 39 placed under the machine body 2. The bearing supporting the ledger plate 39 is rotatably supported by the mowing blade shaft 8. The ledger plate 39 is turned around the mowing blade shaft 8 by the mechanism to change the sliding position between the reel blade 9 and the ledger plate 39 and the inclination angle of the ledger plate 39.
