The open roof construction for a vehicle has a frame (3) fitted in a roof aperture (2) formed in the roof (1) whereby at least some of the regions where the frame edge sections (5) interact with the roof edge sections (6) are covered by sealing strips (8). The sealing strips are already connected to the frame before the fitting of the frame in the roof aperture. The strips may be connected to the frame in one piece and in a flexible manner.
