METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF MAGNETIC HEAD

This invention relates to a magnetic head having a core of polycrystalline Mn-Zn ferrite and particularly to a production method of a magnetic head that prevents the pulsating noise appearing immediately after a current stops flowing through a recording/reproduction coil. The material for the core of the head comprises a Mn-Zn ferrite having an average grain size of not greater then 30 µm. A fused core block is formed by glass fusion using one kind of glass, and this fused core block is annealed at a temperature higher than the strain point of glass.
