PURPOSE: A passenger airbag housing and a passenger airbag using the same are provided to easily couple a main housing to a side plate, and to reduce assembly time by coupling the main housing to the side plate without a welding process. CONSTITUTION: A passenger airbag for a vehicle is composed of an air cushion(100), an inflator(200) for supplying gas to the air cushion, and a housing for holding the air cushion and the inflator. The housing includes a main housing(300a) having an upper opening, and side plates(300b,300c) coupled to sides of the main housing. A coupling protrusion(320) is formed at the main housing. A coupling groove(330) is formed at the side plate, and is coupled to the coupling protrusion. |
