An oil prospecting ship employing a moon pool is provided to increase speed of the oil prospecting ship by reducing resistance caused by movement of the oil prospecting ship and suppress a sloshing phenomenon by installing a partition between a moon pool and a seawater inlet. An oil prospecting ship employing a moon pool comprises a seawater inlet(10), a plurality of through-holes(14), and a partition(12). The partition suppresses flow of seawater flowed inside the moon pool. Both sides of the moon pool have the seawater inlet which has a stair shape from a deck to below a sea level. The seawater inlet includes the partition located in an interface of the moon pool.
