ROTARY COMPRESSOR IN WHICH A DRIVING SHAFT ROTATES IN BOTH CLOCKWISE AND COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION FOR VARYING COMPRESSION CAPACITY

PURPOSE: A rotary compressor is provided to enable compression in rotation of clockwise and counterclockwise directions of a driving shaft and to allow variation of compression capacity. CONSTITUTION: A rotary compressor comprises a driving shaft(13) rotating in clockwise and counterclockwise directions and having an eccentric part(13a); a cylinder(21) constituting inner volume of a predetermined size; a roller(22) constituting a fluid chamber(29) for suction and compression of a fluid together with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder; a vane(23) elastically installed to the cylinder to come in contact with the roller; upper and lower bearings(24,25) each installed to the upper and lower parts of the cylinder, to rotatably support the driving shaft and to close up the inner volume; discharge and suction ports(26a,26b,27a,27b) communicating with the fluid chamber; and clearances formed between the roller and the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder. The roller is rotatably installed to the outer peripheral surface of the eccentric part to come in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder. The compressed fluid leaks through the clearances in one rotating direction of the driving shaft and two compression capacities each different according to the rotating directions of the driving shaft are obtained.
