<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic image which does not have a sense of incongruity compared to a film photograph of the eyeground. <P>SOLUTION: An ophthalmic imaging apparatus first detects, using a position index detecting section for detecting a reference position, a mark M in an image P1. An image turning section then processes the image to generate an image P2 in which the mark M of the image P1 becomes a mark M'.
