<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of preventing the sticking of stains to an objective lens. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an objective lens 61 for converging a laser beam for executing at least one of information recording and information reproducing and emitting it to the information surface of an information recording medium, a lens holder 62 for holding the objective lens 61, and a cylindrical lens protector 63 arranged in the lens holder to surround the objective lens 61 in a state in which its tip surface is protruded to the emission side of a laser beam more than the objective lens 61, and in which a circular groove 63c along the outer periphery of the objective lens 61 is formed in the tip surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
