<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical composite parts in which increase in light transmission loss is suppressed and production is easily conducted, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the electro-optical composite parts, light beams from an optical waveguide 3 located on a substrate 2 or within the substrate 2 are emitted to a through-hole 4 which is arranged in the substrate 2 so as to cross the optical waveguide 3 at a right angle and reflected by a mirror 13 arranged in the through-hole 4. The reflected light beams are guided to a light receiving and emitting element 5 located outside the substrate 2. A portion within the through-hole 4 where the reflected light beams are passed is made of a solid having optical characteristics equivalent to a core layer 6 that constitutes of the optical waveguide 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
