<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic honeycomb filter used in a continuous regeneration type cleaning apparatus for cleaning fine particles contained in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine, having a structure constituted so as to seal the end parts of the predetermined flow channels of a ceramic honeycomb structure to allow the exhaust gas to pass through porous partition walls for demarcating the flow channels and together having extremely low pressure loss characteristics and strength characteristics capable of withstanding mechanical vibration or impact, a thermal shock, and the like, when used. <P>SOLUTION: This ceramic honeycomb filter is constituted so as to remove fine particles in an exhaust gas by sealing the end parts of the predetermined flow channels of the ceramic honeycomb structure to allow the exhaust gas to pass through the porous partition walls for demarcating the flow channels. The total pore volume of the porous partition walls is 0.55-0.80 cm<SP>3</SP>/g and the volume of pores with a pore size of 100μm or above thereof is 0.02-0.10 cm<SP>3</SP>/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
