<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact method and apparatus for washing/soaking polished rice for brewing at a low cost by a simple mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The method for washing/soaking the polished rice involves using a jet pump for a rice washer and a turntable method for a soaking machine. The apparatus has a raw material feeder 1 having a structure for successively discharging the polished rice raw material batchwise in order, the rice washer 2 having a structure for discharging the raw material, a soaking tank 4 having a structure for discharging a soaking water at the bottom part, and storing a water-permeable container 3 in the interior, the turntable 5 having two or more soaking tanks 4 arranged on the circumference at the same interval, a draining machine 6 for draining the soaked rice in the water-permeable container 3, a transporting machine 7 having a structure for extracting the water-permeable container 3 upward from the turntable 5 in the soaking tank 4 and transporting the soaked rice to the draining machine 6, and a discharging machine 8 for receiving the soaked rice transported by the transporting machine 7, and discharging the received soaked rice, installed in order according to the movement of the polished rice raw material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
