REPRODUCER, REPRODUCING METHOD, REPRODUCING PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a user interface exhibiting a high degree of freedom and rich expression for a high capacity recorded medium.

SOLUTION: A flag indicating whether a play item has a multiangle structure reproducible at a plurality of angles or not is provided. A flag indicating whether it is a point capable of switching the angle or not is provided at the head of a decode unit. In a seamless multiangle structure, the angle can be switched without increasing the interleave unit. In a non-seamless multiangle structure, discontinuity of reproduction is eliminated when getting out of a multiangle by making a specified region on the tail side of each angle impossible to switch the angle using that flag. Furthermore, a sub-play item only of audio can be employed as BGM by providing a flag indicating whether the sub-play item can be reproduced asynchronously with a main path or not.
