PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a curve having a crowning amount to smoothly change radii of curvature on an outer peripheral surface of a substantially cylindrical workpiece. SOLUTION: Driving rollers 2 and 3 rotating in the same direction are disposed to be parallel with each other. A plurality of projecting parts 5a, 5b and 5c having different radii of curvature Rr1, Rr2 and Rr3, respectively, along a shaft direction are formed at mutually faced positions of the driving rollers 2 and 3. A rolling element 4 rotated by being delivered between the driving rollers 2 and 3 is moved on tracks of different radii of curvature Rw1, Rw2 and Rw3 along the shaft direction. A superfinishing grinding tool 6 is provided to superfinish a rolling surface of the rolling element 4 by being pressed on the rolling surface of the rolling element 4 moving on the tracks of the different radii of curvature.
