PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost tape cassette and tape printer which do not require replacement corresponding to cases in which tape cassettes having variety of width corresponding to the variation in a film tape width are used. SOLUTION: In order to draw out a film tape 18 from a film tape spool 18 through a print step, a tape feed roller 12 is provided so as to be rotatably supported with respect to cassette cases 2 and 3 near the tape ejection part of the cassette cases 2 and 3. In addition, in order to allow a press-contact roller 49 disposed near the tape feed roller 12 to come into press-contact with the tape feed roller 12, recesses are formed on the cassette cases 2 and 3.
