PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tipping helper and a wheelchair capable of preventing the damage of deformation or the like of a tipping lever by preventing local force from being applied to the lever. SOLUTION: The tipping helper 16 for helping the caster elevation of a motor-driven wheelchair 1 by the tipping lever 15 is provided with a step part 18 where stepping force is applied at the time of the caster elevation and a base part 17 to which the step part 18 is attached and which is fixed to the lever 15 through a contact part 21a to be in surface contact with the surface of the tipping lever 15.
