PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the inspection operation of the transmission part of a feed chain in a reaping machine for reaping and transporting grain culms. SOLUTION: The threshing drive apparatus for a combine harvester has constitution that a reaping machine for reaping grain culms is changed in speed, rotated and driven by a hydraulic type continuously variable transmission for reaping of exclusive use, in the feed chain of a thresher 4 for threshing the grain culms during delivery and transportation, transmission of fixed rotation from the thresher side and power of speed change rotation changed in speed from the reaping machine side are imputed to a feed chain case, the feed chain is rotated and driven at a high-speed input rotation and the feed chain case is arranged at the downside of an entrance funnel at the inlet side of the thresher. Consequently, the rotational speed of the feed chain of the thresher is controlled by the fixed rotational speed from the thresher and the speed change rotation from the reaping machine. When the rotation of the feed chain is controlled at the low speed of the fixed rotational speed from the thresher, a bad condition of reduction in threshing performance of the thresher is eliminated.
