A method for connecting bone screws to a support rod, e.g. connecting vertebrae to a support rod (Harrington rods) has a block design (4) which clamps onto the rod and onto the head of each screw and with the screws at different angles. The block has a groove (5) on one side to clamp onto the rod (1) and with two clamping screws (6, 7) in separate bores. Each screw head is fitted with a bearing block (9) which includes spherical surfaces and which is gripped in a special aperture of the block and with the rotated by a screw drive in an adjacent aperture, to set the required angle for the screw and thereby pull the vertebrae into a different angle.
