An LED head lamp cooling apparatus for cars and a method thereof are provided to lengthen the lifetime of the LED head lamp by feedback-controlling the temperature of the LED. A thermal conductor is adhered to an LED(140) emitting the beam and conducts the heat generated from LED. A temperature sensor(120) is adhered to the thermal conductor and senses the temperature of LED and outputs the sensor value. A thermoelectric element(160) cools down the heat transmitted through the thermal conductor. A thermoelectric element voltage controller(150) adjusts the voltage applied to the thermoelectric element. A heat sink is installed at the lower part of the thermoelectric element and emits the heat transmitted from the thermoelectric element to the outside. A MICOM(110) cools down the heat of LED through the thermoelectric element. An LED voltage controller(130) lights the LED by controlling the voltage. |
