<p>A dispersion slope compensator for enhancing the optical transmission quality by setting a sufficient variable width of dispersion slope. A feedback type optical filter (F) comprises a looped optical propagation path (11), an I/O optical propagation path (12) having an I/O from/to the outside, and photocouplers (C1, C2) for coupling the looped optical propagation path (11) and the I/O optical propagation path (12) at at least two points. Variable setting of dispersion slope is performed by spatially separating a part of optical propagation path constituting the branch of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, being formed by the looped optical propagation path (11) between the photocouplers (C1, C2) and a part of the I/O optical propagation path (12), from the feedback type optical filter (F) thereby regulating the optical path length of the branch (21) part variably.</p> |
